I have to admit, I've been looking for a jumpsuit for a while. I've tried on a LOT of them - seemingly every color, cut and style. But it felt like every one I found was either not comfortable (seriously how can a romper not be comfortable?! it's like footie pajamas without the feet), not flattering, or just not the right fit. These days, I'm trying to be better about buying clothes that actually fit me correctly - rather than purchasing because I'm obsessed with the concept or print of the piece and am determined to "make it work." Tim Gunn, I am not.
I finally found my jumpsuit / romper / onesie soulmate in this printed beauty from Sans Souci. It's patterned perfection and a little bit out of my comfort zone - which is exactly why I love it. It also happened to be at T.J. Maxx, which is great, since, as much as I love clothes, all my money goes towards rent and San Francisco's never ending parade of food.
Another thing I love about this jumper / romper thing? The cut of the legs - just enough slim for my liking, but with the perfect amount of slouch. Sure, that sounds kinda weird, but as someone working with some large calf muscles (thank you college rowing team and a failed adolescence of ballet) I can say that finding a jumpsuit with a relatively slim leg that can still get around these guys is an accomplishment. I also can get behind any silhouette that allows me to say the words "slim" and "calves" in the same sentence when talking about myself. (This post may be a first, and the pattern doesn't hurt on that front either).
Did I mention I love this blue and white pattern?
And the drop necklace I borrowed from my roommate?
And these gold textured rings I just bought? Out of the four sizes, I must admit I have my favorites (the slim thumb band is my current #1) but I kinda love them all.
Kali found this awesome blue door (there's actually a few of them in a row) on Dolores at 30th. We fell in love with the building, the doorways, and all the greenery - so despite a lot of traffic (and thus many, many stares from passerby) we decided we just had to snap a few pictures on the walk home from the grocery store. In most of the images we took, I'm making very awkward and embarrassed expressions. Just outside of the frame are our bags full of food - we're into multitasking and conserving trips.

Shoes: Target (1. I also am trying as hard as I can to hold off buying a pair in black. 2. Might I also suggest the NONSTP, a chunky heel mule from Steve Madden? The heel is higher and they're realllllly lovely as well.)
Jumpsuit: Sans Souci (get the max, for the minimum, at T.J. Maxx)
Necklace: Flea Market Girl, by way of the closet of Kali Sandberg
Purse: Urban Outfitters
