Association rebranding announcement 

The Michigan Recreation and Park Association is the voice of Michigans parks and recreation community. On its 80th anniversary, the organization adopted a new name, logo, and brand identity, each developed by Factory Detroit. The new mParks was launched at "Come Out & Play" - the organizations annual advocacy day at the state capitol. Factory Detroit also created an audio track and radio public service announcements, to help mParks members promote their departments and the overall benefits of parks and recreation. 

Serving as the brand deployment contact for mParks, roles included coordinating the efforts of Factory Detroit and mParks for the brand announcement, developing messaging to communicate the new name and brand to mParks members, executing media outreach for the day at the capitol, performing social media monitoring and engagement, and partnering with the mParks content manager to develop an online toolbox of campaign resources for mParks members. 


Wind energy project announcement

Public relations activities related to the official announcement of a utility-scale wind project in Northwest Ohio. The $18 million project involved the installation of five utility-scale wind turbines at manufacturing facilities of two Fortune 500 companies. Work was completed on behalf of company responsible for the development, engineering, procurement, and construction of project, with support provided to key contacts representing project client corporations. 

Roles and responsibilities included media outreach, public relations, serving as the client contact and liaison for any communications or PR requests, and the creation of communications resources and collateral for community stakeholders and client communication teams. 

Project announcement appeared on the front page of the local newspaper, garnered positive print editorials, and was picked up by Bloomberg, CNN Money, Businessweek, and 400+ additional sites.
